Hello again.
I decided that I would do this once a week just to keep in touch.
Not much has changed in my world, but I'm still moving slowly forward. I've been plugging away at a novella. I'm typing in edits right now...you know the tedious stuff.
I am also working on a novel. And let me tell you, that thing is kicking and screaming the whole way. I'm dragging it out, sometimes one sentence at a time. It's frustrating, but I know that I just need to keep moving and I'll get it out eventually. Isn't it funny how when you get towards the end of a really long project the inspiration fairy comes along and starts smacking you in the face with tons of ideas? I have at least three a day now. They keep trying to distract me from what I'm currently working on with bright shiny new story lines and characters, but I'm trying to keep the blinders on and not succumb. I will finish this damn novel if it kills.
Other than that...
I have actually met my fitness goals this week, something that hasn't happened in a looooonnnngggg time. The house is pretty clean. Though I need to do laundry...my least favorite chore. I'm slowly working on de-cluttering my closet. And I just finished reading Minimalism: live a meaningful life by Joshua Fields Millburn and Ryan Nicodemus. I recommend if you are thinking of simplifying your life.
That's it, short and sweet this week. Nothing big. But we all know the big stuff often isn't what it's all about.
I hope everyone is doing well, and I look forward to hearing from you.
