Why is writing so hard?<hangs head in irritation>

Hello again...

I know I have promised for three weeks in a row now that I will have an article for you, but I have yet to fulfill that promise. Maybe it's the subject matter I chose. Perhaps I should set it aside and write about something else?

And now for the news...

Starting next Wednesday, I am being ordered back to the office. I've been working at home for six months...not looking forward to going back. And it's not just because I can't work in pajama pants anymore.

I do have some good news. I finished the first draft of my novel. Yay! I showed the first chapter to a friend. Brave of me, huh? He loved part of it, gave me some good feedback on other parts, and we had a good discussion. Honestly, I hadn't felt that excited about my novel in a while. But just talking about it with someone was good.

Other than that, not much has changed. I am still editing short stories. I have started doing some research on different publishers. I have also started doing some research on self-publication. There is a lot to think about. I want to make good decisions here.
