It is amazing how quickly time runs away from us. You turn away for a second to focus on something else, and suddenly, an entire week or more has gone by. That seems to be happening to me of late. Even more so than normal.
I recently discovered something that changes my perspective on some things, so I'm working that out. It's taking a lot of journaling to understand it. And I still don't know if I have completely wrapped my head around it, but maybe someday. It's been distracting me lately...just one of many things in my head lately.
I continue to plug away, little by little. I believe I am one major scene away from completing the first draft of my novel. After which, I will be putting it away for a cooling off period, so I can attack it with fresh eyes for revisions. I have gotten caught up with some editing I needed to do and will be starting to do research on possible publication options.
I was informed that as of September 9, I will be required to report back to my office. I was one of three people in my department that were drawn at random to report back. They are going to fill in the office slowly. I have been working from home since late March. I can't say I'm all that happy about going back, but it is what it is.
Stay safe. I'll talk to you soon. Hopefully, I will be getting an article to you. And as always, thanks for reading my little ramblings.
